Mango chocolate marble cake

This is a great teatime cake or can be packed in kids tiffin box as a snacks. Chocolate mango marble cake can also be frosted with chocolate ganache, whipped cream or any of your favourite frosting and serve as a dessert or make as a birthday or any celebration cake.

Mango and chocolate is a match made in heaven! So today’s cake recipe is a marble cake which is eggless and butter free with mango and chocolate complimenting each other. I enjoy doing marble cakes with different patterns of marble every time and wait for the cake to be out of the oven to see the outcome. How lovely they look!!

Did you know that the mango flavor makes a nice combo with chocolate. I was skeptical the first time when making these flavor combination couple of years back as I thought the chocolate might overpower the mango flavor. So I tried with only cocoa powder in the chocolate batter and it came out good. Then next time I tried by adding both cocoa powder and melted chocolate and it was even better in taste and texture. Adding chocolate gave a rich taste and enhance the taste of the cake. Thereafter I bake this mango chocolate marble cake every year during mango season.
