Rajma Brownies or Kidney Beans Brownies recipe with step by step pictures. A healthy twist to the traditional brownie recipe with the goodness of Rajma (Kidney Beans). The ultra fudgy and decadent chocolate treat.

These brownies are irresistibly fudgy and gooey. They are gluten free and absolutely contains no flour. So you can feel good about enjoying a little chocolatey treat. I can say this is one of the simplest, best and a healthy brownie recipe. Besides being simple they are insanely delicious. These kidney beans brownies are now my all time favourites.

My sunny boy is a fussy eater and he is a big no to any variety of beans and legumes. When I decided to try and bake this kidney beans brownies I was skeptical whether it will taste good and whether my kiddo will like it. But the taste was amazing and unbelievably delicious. My son loved it so much that he was ready to finish off the whole batch of brownies 😀.

These brownies are super simple to make. All you need is the ingredients, a food processor or a blender, a square cake pan and your healthy, easy and delicious brownies are ready in less than 40 mins to be devoured.

These fudgy brownies are packed with protein and fiber rich. Noone will ever guess that these brownies are made of this superfood kidney beans. It is one perfect healthy dessert. These brownies are so rich in taste and texture too.

  • Preparation time : 10 mins
  • Cooking time : 30 mins
  • Serves : 10-12 brownies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Rajma/ Kidney beans cooked
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 100 gms dark Chocolate melted
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp Instant coffee powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2-3 tbsp Walnuts for garnish

Method:

Pressure cook the soaked Rajma until it is cooked well. Drain the water completely and keep aside.

Chop the chocolate and melt the chocolate in a sauce pan or you can use double boiler method.

In a grinder/blender jar, add all the ingredients and grind them smoothly.

Preheat oven @180° for 10 mins. Grease the square cake pan with oil and dust it with cocoa powder.

Pour the grinded mixture into the pan and tap 2-3 times. Garinish with chopped walnuts.

Bake at preheated oven @180° for 30 mins. Remove from oven and let it cool down completely. Demould, cut and serve.
