Ingredients:
500 gms Crab
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1 Onion chopped
2 Dry Red Chilly broken
1 Sprig Curry Leaves
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Cumin powder / Jeera powder
1/2 tsp Fennel powder / Saunf powder
1 tsp Coriander powder / Dhania powder
1 tsp Garam Masala powder
1 tsp Red Chilly powder / Lal Mirch
Salt to taste
Water as required

For Grinding:
2 Onion Chopped
1 Tomato Chopped
8-10 Garlic cloves
1 inch Ginger chopped

Method:

Take all the ingredients mentioned in the grinding list and blend it into fine puree.

Heat oil in a pot, add the cumin seeds and let it crackle.

Add the onion, curry leaves, red chillies and saute till onion starts to brown.

Add the puree and saute for about 2 minutes.

Add the masala powders – turmeric, cumin, fennel, coriander, garam masala, red chilly, salt to taste, stir well and saute for a minute.

Add the cleaned crabs, mix well and cook for about 5 minutes.

Add water as required, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Adjust the gravy consistency as per your requirements and take off the heat.

  • 2 Medium Tomato roughly chopped
  • 8-10 Small Garlic cloves
  • 1 Inch Ginger roughly chopped
