- 500 Grams Crab
- 2 Tablespoon Oil
- ½ Teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 Small Onion finely chopped
- 2 Piece Dry red chilli
- 1 Sprig Curry leaves
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric powder
- ½ Teaspoon Cumin powder
- ½ Teaspoon Fennel powder
- 1 Teaspoon Coriander seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 Teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 Tablespoon Salt or as per taste
- 1-2 Cups Water or as required
For Grinding:
- 2 Medium Onion roughly chopped
- 2 Medium Tomato roughly chopped
- 8-10 Small Garlic cloves
- 1 Inch Ginger roughly chopped
Take all the ingredients mentioned in the grinding list and blend it into fine puree.
Heat oil in a pot, add the cumin seeds and let it crackle.
Add the onion, curry leaves, red chillies and saute till onion starts to brown.
Add the puree and saute for about 2 minutes.
Add the masala powders – turmeric, cumin, fennel, coriander, garam masala, red chilly, salt to taste, stir well and saute for a minute.
Add the cleaned crabs, mix well and cook for about 5 minutes.
Add water as required, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes.
Adjust the gravy consistency as per your requirements and take off the heat.
