My sunny boy is a fussy eater and he is a big no to any variety of beans and legumes. When I decided to try and bake these kidney bean brownies I was skeptical whether it would taste good and whether my kiddo would like it. But the taste was amazing and unbelievably delicious. My son loved it so much that he was ready to finish off the whole batch of brownies 😀.
These brownies are super simple to make. All you need is the ingredients, a food processor or a blender, a square cake pan and your healthy, easy and delicious brownies are ready in less than 40 mins to be devoured.
These fudgy brownies are packed with protein and fiber rich. No one will ever guess that these brownies are made of the superfood kidney bean. It is one perfect healthy dessert. These brownies are so rich in taste and texture too.

Ingredients to make rajma brownies:
- 2 cups Rajma/ Kidney beans cooked
- 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
- 100 gms dark Chocolate melted
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Oil
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1/2 tsp Instant coffee powder
- A pinch of salt
- 2-3 tbsp Walnuts for garnish
Step by step pictures instructions on how to make rajma brownies:
Pressure cook the soaked Rajma until it is cooked well. Drain the water completely and keep aside.
Preheat oven at 180° C for 10 minutes with both the rods (filaments) switched on.
Chop the chocolate and melt the chocolate in a sauce pan or you can use the double boiler method.
In a grinder/blender jar, add all the ingredients and grind them smoothly.
Preheat the oven @180° C for 10 minutes. Grease the square cake pan with oil and dust it with cocoa powder.
Pour the grinded mixture into the pan and tap 2-3 times. Garinish with chopped walnuts.
Bake in a preheated oven @180° for 20 to 25 minutes. Do a toothpick test in 20 minutes. The toothpick should come out with some crumbs and not be completely clean.
Remove from the oven and let it stand for 5 minutes. Remove the brownie from the pan and allow to cool down completely. Cut and serve. Enjoy!
