Notes

  1. If using banana and mango, use ripe but firm banana and mango or else it will turn mushy and give an unappealing look to the fruit chaat.
  2. Choose fruits of your choice or seasonal fruits.
  3. If using sweet potato, pressure cook for 2 whistles separately, chop it and then use.
  4. You can add regular potato as well. If using, dice it, then deep fry and add it.
  5. Highly recommend using cumin powder, as it helps in digestion and adds a nice flavour. I would recommend using roasted cumin powder.
  6. Chaat masala is the hero ingredient in fruit chaat and any chaat recipe. It lends an extra zing and punch to the fruit chaat.
  7.  You can also add finely chopped green chillies and red chilli powder.
  8. Mint leaves makes the fruit chaat tastes more refreshing. You can also add chopped coriander leaves.
  9.  I used Himalayan rock salt aka sendha namak. You may use the regular salt.
