Pork Chow had always been my favourite. Hakka noodles is an indo-chinese street food famous in almost all parts of India. Most often we find them in the menu of your favourite restaurants and fast food corners.

This noodle preparation can be cooked either with a variety of vegetables, bean sprouts, tofu, eggs, shrimps or any meat like chicken, pork or beef. A colourful, flavorful and exciting dish to make children have veggies, perfect for children who are a big NO to vegetables.

When I am just too lazy to cook I mostly rely on heaping bowl of noodles. Throw in some veggies, eggs and meat if available and it turns out into a super amazing and filling meal. Sometimes when I want to make an elaborate chinese or indo-chinese meal I make egg fried rice and chicken manchurian. But even without a side or a gravy, these hakka noodles are a treat even on their own.

The fact that they are so easy and quick, makes them even more gratifying and appealing. It is flavorful, tasty and cannot get simpler than this. They not only make a perfect and heart warming weeknight dinner but also serves as a great snack to kill the anytime hunger pangs. These pork noodles is a great lunch box recipe as well.

HOW TO MAKE PERFECT HAKKA NOODLES?

Like any Asian cooking, the key is to cook everything fast on a high flame. So it’s important that you have all your ingredients ready from meat to veggies to noodles because the rest will only take you ten minutes to finish.

While my noodles are with pork, you can definitely add the meat or make it a vegetarian version as per your palate preference. You can chicken, beef, shrimps, eggs or if you’re a vegetarian you can use paneer/tofu or button mushroom. You can also choice the vegetables as per likings and which is in season. Some of the veggies you can add are tender french beans, carrots, broccoli, zucchini, cabbage, sweet corns etc.

If you’re using eggs you can simply season with salt and scramble them and add it to the noodles along with the vegetables. For the meats, shrimps, tofu or mushroom, simply pan roast them and add to the noodles.

Pork chow is a simple and easy-to-make meal all Asian cuisine and pork lovers must try! WARNING! You might end up never ordering Chinese takeout ever again.

This pork noodles goes well with Raja Mircha Pickle/ Bhut Jolokia Pickle and Homemade King Chilly Sauce but this is not for faint hearted because of its extremely hot taste. It also goes well with Pork Pickle and Beef Pickle. Apart from the fiery sides you can also enjoy eating it with soup, chilly tomato garlic chutney, vinegar chilly, soy dip or ketchup (tomato sauce).
