Spicy Mango Chicken Wings is spicy and slightly sweet and bursting flavour from the fresh mango. The spicy mango sauce is homemade and it came out just pretty prefect. This was an experiment for me that worked perfectly with just a bunch of ingredients.

It’s simple, it’s quick and moreover an easy recipe which can be mastered easily and get impressed. Here the chicken wings are marinated for few mins in salt and lemon juice. The chicken wings is thn coated in spiced flour and deep fried to golden beauties, then tossed well in spicy mango sauce and baked to perfection.

This spicy mango chicken wings can be served as a starter/appetizer or as a snacks. The spice and hotness can be adjust as per preference, especially when you are making for kids. It is a perfect dish if you have any get together or any special occasion at home.

Fresh ripe mangoes work best in this recipe. The taste is amazing. It taste delicious and yummilicious. Well the taste is worth the effort.

Now let’s move on to the step by step pictures recipe and see how to make this spicy mango chicken wings at home.

  • Preparation time: 15 mins
  • Cooking time : 30 mins
  • Serves : 4

Ingredients to make spicy mango chicken wings:

  • 500 gms Chicken Wings
  • 2 +1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • ¼ cup Maida flour
  • ¼ cup Cornflour
  • ½ tsp crushed pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 cup ripe Mango chopped
  • 6 dry red chilly
  • 2 fat Garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • Few crushed roasted peanuts for garnish (optional)

Step by step instructions on how to make spicy chicken wings:

Wash the chicken wings and pat dry with kitchen towel. In a mixing bowl add the chicken wings, 2 tbsp Lemon juice, season with salt, mix well and set aside.

In a bowl or plate add the Maida flour, Cornflour, pepper, garlic powder, chilly powder, salt to taste, mix well and set aside.

In a blender/grinder jar add the chopped mango, chilly, garlic, vinegar, lemon juice, salt and blend it into a smooth puree. Set aside.

Now coat the marinated chicken nicely in the flour mixture.

Heat oil in a frying pan. Drop the chicken in the oil and fry them till golden. Remove and set aside.

In a saucepan add the mango mixture, sugar and cook for 4-5 mins or till you get a thick consistency sauce.

Preheat oven @230° for 10 mins.

Next add the fried chicken wings in half the mango sauce and mix them well coating the chicken nicely with the sauce. Reserved half of the sauce to use as dip.

Take a baking tray and grease it. Lay the chicken wings in single layer.

Bake them for 15 mins or till the chicken turns crisp and golden.

Remove and garnish with crushed roasted peanuts and serve with the reserved sauce.
