Don’t have an oven? But wanna have a baked chicken or try a baked chicken recipe? Here I am with a simple, quick and easy recipe which you can easily make at home using a pan over gas top.

Pan Baked Chicken Leg on a bed of tossed veggies is a scrumptious and delicious dish. It is an easy one pot meal for busy evenings or when you’re are running of time. One pot baked chicken whole leg is a filling and complete dish in itself.

This recipe for pan baked chicken legs with tossed veggies is irresistible and outstanding. Once baked in the marinade and seasoning, the whole chicken leg is so juicy, and flavorful. The accompaniment of Tue tossed veggies are great and no other side is needed. Winner!

The Chicken is cooked perfectly. It is an absolutely amazing dish. The chicken is succulent, juicy and taste heavenly in every bite with butter tossed veggies.

Here the chicken is marinated with szechwan sauce, cracked peppercorns and chopped garlic for couple of mins and baked to perfection and finishes off by tossing along with the veggies, schzewan sauce and soya sauce.

Cooking time : 20-25 mins
Serves – 1

Ingredients to make pan baked chicken Leg:

For marination:
Whole Chicken Leg – 1 large
Garlic – 6 chopped
Peppercorn – 1 tsp (cracked or crushed)
Schzewan sauce – 2 tsp
Butter – 1 tsp (melted)
Salt to taste

For tossed veggies:
Schezwan Sauce – 1 tsp
Butter – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Capsicum – 1 thinly sliced
Carrot – 1 thinly sliced
Onion – 1 thinly sliced
Soya sauce – 1 tsp
Shredded cheese for garnish

Instructions to make pan baked chicken Leg:

Take the washed chicken leg. Make slashes on it with a knife. Pat dry the chicken with a clean kitchen towel.

In a bowl add the marination ingredients and mix well. Take the chicken and rub the mixture all over the chicken. Let it marinate for sometime.

In a pan heat the oil. Lower the heat and lay the chicken leg. Cover the pan and cook for about 15 minutes flipping the sides frequently for even cooking and prevent from burning it.

Add the thinly sliced capsicum, carrots, onion, soya sauce, remaining schzewan sauce and butter, mix well and saute all together nicely.

Cover the pan and cook till the water released by the veggies is evaporated completely which will take around 5-10 minutes.

Remove them in a plate sprinkle some shredded cheese and serve. With cheese it enhances the taste more.
